The color work on this is really fantastic. Any particular way you got to colors to have that nice...wash, for lack of a better word?

Uhh, I think the most important tip to get the wash is a nice stained paper texture.
I change it with photoshop tools to get it more saturated, and colorful. After that it's just a ton of color blobs applied with the airbrush, on layers in "higlights", 'saturation", etc. Going randomly until it looks ok, also lol
