Chicks Dig Pliant Rope-Bonds — Description
This is a commission I did recently, for $65. From left to right, the characters shown here are: Miriallia from Gundam Seed Destiny, Fiona from Zoids, Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed Destiny, and Haman Karn from Double Zeta Gundam.

This commission marks the first time I've seriously attempted to create a "couple in distress" themed work, as shown here in the case of the two lovers of the Gundam Seed Destiny series, Kira and Lacus. I must admit, there is something somehow arresting about the idea of a male and female, together in a perilous situation...there's a dynamic here you can't get with just one type of chromosome. As an artist, I really enjoy the chemistry involved, it offers me opportunities to explore emotions and situations I don't normally get the chance to.

There was a lot of back-and-forth between myself and the commissioner of this piece, and it was a challenge for me to try and meet all of the specifications that were given to me. But I am quite happy with the way this piece turned out.
