FDL - Character Sheet — Description
Note: The full-view is pretty big, but otherwise the written stuff probably wouldn't be legible. This was based of a picture of an ostrich and some other animals such as the plumed basilisk.

Feathered Dragon-Lizard
Draconis Aves

A flightless relative of dragons and wyverns, the FDL is normally solitary except for breeding pairs. Females normally lay anywhere from 2-10 eggs in a small feather-lined hole during the summer. She normally tends to them from the time they are layed until a few weeks before they're ready to hatch and then the hatchlings are left to fend for themselves. Their diet normally includes meat, fish, and sometimes nuts and berries. Young will sometimes cannibalize siblings as they are hatching. Though adult have very little to fear other than being hunted, young and eggs are vulnerable to predators. Like dragons and other related creatures, FDLs possess an organ called the draconis fundamentum where chemicals are mixed. These chemicals are part of the FDL's breath weapon. Unlike dragons they do not particularly go out of their way to horde treasure...but will sometimes carry a single special item.

Abilities: Speech(They are very intelligent and can pick up languages after a day or two of hearing them.), Blindsense, Spellcasting ability(Like Dragons)
