Hekatompedon pediment — Description

Rough drawing of a conjectural partial reconstruction, inspired by the architectural sculpture groups which scholars hypothesise to have formed part of the Archaic polychromatic limestone pediment of the Hekatompedon, forerunner of the Parthenon, c. 570 BCE, featuring Heracles fighting the Triton (Acr. 36+), two lions tearing a bull to pieces (Acr. 3+), and the three-bodied daimon (Acr. 35+), Athens.
