He describes Little Red as apparently dieing from the wolf then coming back from hell or something with this seriously bad ass sword. ( see it here ---> [link] <--- )
im all for little girls dieing and coming back with a vengence and bloody mist like powers. Shes like the outcome of a threeway with Satan, The Grim Reaper, and Vincent Valentine. Ive got respect for Jerry and all of his badass weapons. keep em comin buddy!
as usual, made in autocad 2002. took 2 hours and 10 min. and totally took me out of my usual comfort zone with weapons. damn asymetry. tons of fun to work on though damn. (sorry it's not exact, theres only so much autocad can permit me as far as torn organic shapes go)

Those sharp edges, the key-like shapes, it makes for one dangerous, if not hard to pull out, sword blade.

the tip of the sword where it looks chiseled .. how did you mesh that?

assume i know a lot about meshing... did you manually mesh it or use a boolean operation.. or etc

i revolved a circle with a v shape cut out on the inside. i copyd the new shape and pasted it in 4 different positions in an arc shape. then i cut off the inner intersections of the arc and unioned all the shapes into a new single model. then i matched up the beggining of the arc to one side of the sword and mirrored it to the other side and cut off the intersection following the center of the blade. then i unioned the two mirrored shapes and created a new model within them and subtracted the everything from the new model. the inner v shape on the circles created a sharp look to the new model and since the circle-V's where referenced off the blade the new tip of the sword perfectly matched up. then of course i unioned the tip with the sword.

ah very nice and clear method... exactly what i was looking for. as a blender user i will have to use slightly diffent methods but i wil need to try something like that soon. Thanks!

ok the blade is a bit exaggerated
the original idea was to have a smooth blade body and have circular places that look eroded ( like a magic explosion... or corrosion )
but good practice ^^

This one is pretty cool, except they're way too bulky to dual wield. They're huge and spiky and awesome-looking, the jagged edges kinda look like fur or something, but I have a hard time seeing a little girl carrying these.

yeah, usually i would of had a longer handle, but the sword in the picture only has a handle big enough for one hand.
i just take it that she is able to hold it in a single hand with her demonic powers or something
