Hmmm... I dunno.... If we follow the original vampire lore for him, then giving him magic powers would be sorta a hat on a hat. If he's less powerful, then you should consider magic.

Eh I'm still not quite sure how he'd manage tbh Aster is this vicious Tank who fights like a rabbid animal Ie the equivalent of a pissed off honey badger who can just power through anything but for Drakul being a vampire and all he has more variability
