Software used: Apophysis Still alive and still unable to catch up properly. In all honesty, this seems like a lazy tweak and it is, in a way, but I've had this Christmas version of it in my head since I made the original (seen below, the blue one... I'm sure you can spot it right away). Yet, as I sifted through my Christmas-themed idas, this one struck me as the best so I went with it. So yeah, sorry if anyone is annoyed by the lack of creative invention in this piece. I just wanted to let you know by uploading this that I'm holding my shit together somehow. The new place is awesome but the move and all the furniture assembling etc. really took its toll on me. The last quarter of this year was really packed and full of challenges, I can't wait to take some time off finally. Sorry that I've been such a downer lately.

On the description you said, "sorry if anyone is annoyed by the lack of creative invention in this piece." Personally I have no idea what you're talking about, this art is gorgeous!It's refreshing to see a fractal Christmas work, especially in this particular style. The composition, color combination, the flowing elements, the subtle glows here and there, it's all very enjoyable to look at, the tree is really dancing!^^
Since I'm no fractal artist I can't comment on the technique but I believe even experts would also agree with me and other commenters that you did an awesome job. Personally I don't see if anything could use improving, you might as well have created a perfect artwork for this Christmas context/theme, keep up the great work.~ ^^

it's absolutely beautiful! it has the wild fractal thing and at the same time, it's almost realistic 3d, like a real twig and deco, it blends both together. if i did send xmas card, i'd pick this one ^^
