Thank you! I wish more of the fanartists on this site would follow advice like this. I used to draw like you did in that one example of how NOT to draw - even into my twenties - though I did often draw preliminary shapes. Mostly my weaknesses are foreshortening and perspective. Anyways, cool tutorial!

Even though I said it's one of my absolute rules, it can still be broken.
I only included that one because it's something I see a lot of new artists doing. (And something I used to do myself. A lot.)

I've seen other people use blocks, or random shapes, or even scribbles. I guess my point was that it's a good idea to have some sort of foundation, especially if you're doing complicated poses or are trying to arrange more than one character in a scene.
