Description
The first page of a two page Future Shocks story for 2000ad - my first ever solo published work at 18. Don (Lawrence) suggested the spider-web layout which spread over both pages. I no longer have the originals, they were lost a long time ago, so these were scanned from photocopies.L.

Man, check my gallery - I've done Hulk, XMen, Manthing, Superman, Batman, Death Dealer, Dredd, Spidey... a HUGE amount of published work over 20+ years.

I didn't go to art school. I was lucky enough to land an art assistant job to Don Lawrence, who was a master in the comics field. Finding your own way is always tough I think, and there are no easy answers - you just have to keep looking and trying things out. It can take a long time!

interesting composition. Why spider web? Too see how the lives of those people are affected by that person in the center?
