Rufus Wainwright has a posse.This is my guitar case, which my was my birthday present from my parents to accompany my new Stratocaster. I decided that it was boring and created this. White base created with white spray primer, then I airbrushed my Rufus stencil and the text overtop.
This is in Graffiti because it seems to best fit the description of the gallery. You never know, I may decide that some back wall in downtown Red Deer could use some Rufus some time.
Mature content warning just so silly people who think "homosexuality" = "pornography" can avert their blinkered eyes.

Thank you. The different face is just a thing that I do when I'm stencilling. I like to hide the OBEY logo in places.

I grabbed the album art from...I don't remember which album, the one that has him looking pensive, then cranked the contrast up in Photoshop and hacked it down to a 2-bit bitmap, printed it, and cut out the shadows with a razor. I sprayed the case with white paint and then airbrushed the stencil on in black. Thanks for the comment

My theme for this semester in art is sexual identity. Rufus Wainwright is openly gay and often writes such themes into his music. I have great respect for Rufus Wainwright. Thus, a tribute and an opportunity to play with a new medium and make my guitar case pretty.
