it optimizes much better than imageready. (i wonder if imageready optimizes at all? ) I only use that for gifs.

i only said that imageready optimizes really bad
however, the adobe programs are really middlegrade, and i often feel that, and it's annoying. The colorhandling in photoshop is SHIT, there are lots of bugs and lacks, example when you substact 2 certain selections, so that no selection should remain, there will be still some selection remaining and there are a lot of other problems in this type ... there's no handling for the transparency value of a pixel on a layer, and there's a whole lot more. I guess i don't have to tell you about these.

This is my favorite check antialias in the magic wand, or floodfill, and make the image to indexed color. The antialias remains checked, and you can't uncheck it

... Anyway Photoshop is still the best middlegrade graphic program.
I'm really curious about Apple's Aperture.
