Hi guys!

Yup. Here it is! Lara Pulver as Irene Adler (professionally known as The Woman )- part of my BBC Sherlock Series. She featured in 'A Scandal in Belgravia' and was brilliant (as is all of the Sherlock cast!), especially in the final scene where Sherlock cracks the code.

This is probably my first portrait with such a complex background (apart from being my first female portrait of the year!). Safe to say I'm utterly pleased with how it turned out! The coat was a menace, as was the chandelier, but the pillow turned out perfect, so it was absolutely worth it!

Specifics:
Time taken: Around 9-10 hours.

Stuff I used: 5H to 8B graphite (I lost count of precisely which ones, quite frankly), kneaded and hard erasers, blending stumps, tissue, and a whole lot of Ed Sheeran music on endless loop.

Size of the portrait: Around 35 X 21.6 cm (squared).
