I made this tutorial for ~lily-snape
It shows how to make a weave style pop can tab bracelet. If theres enough demand I'll put up tutorials on how to make the chains and such as well.

I'd love to see pictures of everyones bracelets/belts/chokers/whatever they used it for I forgot to add how many tabs you will need (estimated)
Choker - About 60 or so
Bracelet - About 25-30 or so
Belt - Depends on your size, but you will need a lot O.o (also give yourself PLENTY of extra string

Sorry about the late reply, so you finally got enough? It takes a while huh?
Anyways, I always use the tabs colored from the factory because they are anodized, which makes the color last for a long time and is an even, thin, hard coating. You could try to color your own, however all of my attempts have not worked for a variety of reasons (didn't look good, rubbed off, made them thick or sticky), but you are welcome to trey.

Umm I think for my bracelet I used around 25 or so tabs, and I think I usually go around my wrist loosely 3-4 times to get the amount of string I use. I know that there will be extra, but thats better than not enough... trust me, I tried making a belt, and was like 3 inches too short >.<

How do you stop the scratching of the back side of the tab against your wrist?
I sell bracelets made of pop-tabs, and always put the bottom layer upside down, so as to put the 'ugly' side, as you call it of the two together. It saves a lot of scratching.
Anyways, nice tutorial. And an interesting way of making the bracelets.

I've done that before, Ive also had someone tell me that they tried putting fabric on the bottom to stop that. Personally, I take a small hammer and bend the scrathy part in half so that it doesn't stick up anymore. That, or I cut it so that its not scratchy.

The tabs scratch a little, but I guess I'll figure out a way to sew/connect fabric to the back of the bracelet for protection o.O
other than that it's uber cool ^^ I can still wear it without some backing, I'll just be careful not to wiggle it too much xD
