Description Mythical monster from France, described as hybrid of lion, turtle and scorpion, with six legs.

This one has Smilodon instead of lion. And Ankylosaurus tail instead of scorpion. Sounds fine XD

Imagine a giant, sabertooth snapping turtle.  i.imgur.com/7vJPE.gif That's what it is.

Actually it looks more like an armadillo.

Well, to be honest main inspiration for the shell were the giant deep sea isopods.  www.iwebstreet.com/wp-content/…

Wow, I didn't even remembered this mythical beast from my own country... Somehow the head makes me thing of an otter. The lighting on the shell is really good. And the neck too.

Hmmm Everyone see an otter here. I guess thats fine it's an aquatic animal anyway XD

Kirbytails22 In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2017-01-27 17:36:17 +0000 UTC]

La Coca, Bakunawa (my personal favorite), El Cuélebre, The Zmaj, etc.
Some not so much weird as unheard and thus unusual, I suppose.

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to niggiddu [2017-01-27 11:25:04 +0000 UTC]

I think you are referring to D&D monster of the same name. I would say the legendary prototype is even cooler. Soo you need more. Probably xD

But only in the benthic zone... because it seems so heavy that it'll sunk in minutes and reach the sea floor very quickly. :-D

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to FejesValentin [2017-01-27 06:15:31 +0000 UTC]

Well, its a magical beast so it doesnt have to 'work' physically. also, i think it would stick to the shorelines.
