the UrRu counterpart of the Skeksis Necromancer .He was quite a challenge to do but I think it was worth it and the effect is quite good. As opposed tho the Necromancer who represents violent aspecs of Death and thus is able to conjure spirits of the dead and coerce them to do his work, the Embalmer specialises in calming down the restless spirits of those who died a violent death (if you think of Thra's history this guy has A LOT work) He wanders the land, comforting the spirits and performing proper burial rituals for the dead. His staff works as a bridge to underworld, summoning restless spirits via seven spirals at the top and sending them down to rest peacefully.Related content

The Necromancer and the Embalmer are the same person ! If one dies,the other dies. At the prior Grand Conjunction, the UrSkeks sought to purge the evil imperfection from their own selves,imperfection that got them banished from their world. They only succeeded in making themselves impotent Urru and their evil now separate beings -the Skekses. The Skekses tried to act good, but soon gave up and gave vent to their untrammeled evil, making no bones about it.
Only by the next Grand Conjunction can each Urru fuse with its Skeksis and become UrSkeks again. And that only if the Crystal, damaged in the past conjunction, is made whole again, before the Three Suns ...

There were 18 Skeksis to begin with, so no doubt there were all kinds of personal vendettas!

I was a bit shocked when I heard there were only 18 in the beginning. The way narrator says there is only ten left and they are dying out suggested as if there was substantial number at some point.
