Extremophilic Alien Commission — Description
First part of a commission for . The goal is to create an alien adapted to crazily hostile and extreme environments. In this case the creature originats from a planet with extremely strong gravity as well as it's supposed to live on magma according to commissioner's requests.

( Magma's density makes it unable for an organic creature to drawn or swim in it... unlike some movies portraying it. www.wired.com/2011/12/the-righ… )

1. Eight thick strong legs allow the creature to wander freely in it's high gravity environment. Skin covering underbody and the legs is extra thick allowing it to survive high temperatures of the magma it lives on.
2. Vents on the bottoms of it's feet are used for exhalation, making it easier for the creature to lif it's legs against gravity and helping cool them of a bit.
3. Sensoric organs are located on the lower part of the head. Gravity of it's planet did not allow any flying or leaping animals to evolve, therefore most of the action happens close to the ground.
4 The grasping claws within mouth allow more steady grip on the prey. Whole multifingered appendage can extend like harpoon or hand and help pulling struggling prey into main jaws against theforce of gravity.
5. Creature's young are carried on it's back until they reach maturity and their skin thickens enough to allow them to walk on their own.
6 Tumor like growths on it's back are creatures' way of storing energy. Instead of getting fat they get tumors. Tumors also serve as food for the young.
7. Life's brutal. Young will violently fight for domination and only one or two will live to maturity.
