Description
It never appears directly in any of the the stories, rather being only briefely alluded. What do we know of it?It wears a tattered robe, Yellow in color.
Its face seems more like a mask. (and it's probably not very pleasant.)
It's associated with Necromancy (thus I made it face a bit corpse-like)
It's associated with symbol known as Yellow Sign and an ancient city of Carcosa.
It causes madness of those who read play entitled "King in Yellow"
that's what I knew the last time I attempted to draw it. Since then I learned that the Author himself has created an image of this entity. That's what I based my version on, mostly. Adding the Yellows Sign symbol on his neck, a crown and some tentacles peeking from underneath his robes.
Camilla: You, sir, should unmask.
Stranger: Indeed?
Cassilda: Indeed, it's time. We have all laid aside disguise but you.
Stranger: I wear no mask.
Camilla: (Terrified, aside to Cassilda.) No mask? No mask!

It was about two detectives investigating a case where the victims were associated with a cult of the King in Yellow. Pretty cool series in my opinion.

Yeah I found out Chambers was actually an artist/painter before he was a writer. It explains all the scenes of these
doomed young artists in their studios.

At first I thought maybe it was some kind of twisted version of Orko from He-Man.

Perhaps the King himself is a twisted version of Orko. XD
