It completely replaces the Plasma Rifle. The Plasma Rifle is not going to appear in HALO 4.

Idk. I don't think they'd just completely take away one of the Halo franchise's most iconic weapons. But then again, maybe they would.

That's what I've heard. Believe it or not, the original Covenant weapons from the first game are the only weapons to be maintained throughout all the games, even if they go through some major visual overhauls.

Uhuh... How are they maintained if they look different?

Well you said they've been maintained but that they've had major visual makeovers.

I guess, but the SRS99-S5 AM doesn't look like it can have different barrels attached for different purposes.

True. I was thinking you meant weapons such as the plasma rifle, plasma pistol, and land mine.

I mean, if you watch the Factory scene of HALO: Landfall, you can see SRS99D-S2 AMs having their barrels screwed in by machines.

Well, it means field repairs for such a large weapon are easier, not to mention it can be made more portable. And field upgrades could be made. SRS99C-S2 AMs were known to be able to shoot grappling hooks.

It was likely a mod, and muzzle loaded, but it shows the versatility of the SRS99 AMs.

Dude this is what you need to do. Get Halo 3, grab some buddies to play with, set up a custom game on Sandtrap, set the damage modifier to instant kill, the player speed to 300%, and player gravity to 50% or lowest. Set dual wieldable weapons across the map, especially Spikers and SMGs, and go at it. It's the best.

I side with the UNSC, so though that previous statement mightn't be something UNSC, it's still true.
