Description
Program used: Rhinoceros 4 w/V-ray for RhinoClassification: Enhanced Duel Purpose Shotgun Round
The Separating Exposed Core Shot/Slug (SG-SEC, SGS-SEC) round is a duel purpose round used for both soft and hard targets. When striking soft tissue the tip of the main body collapses and mushrooms out expanding to increase the effective caliber. The copper jacket is split and perforated to allow easy expansion but on top of that the primary petals break off creating a fragmentation effect adding to the trauma.
The shot round uses a fragmenting shot with a dodecahedron shaped tungsten carbide core.
When striking a hard target the same thing happens but the object stops the main body of the round making it ineffective. To remedy this the bullet body is striped away from the hardened steel core and that is allowed to penetrate the armor continuing through the target.
The shell casing is made out of Nano-polymer 239 that is colored light and medium grey with added white and black stripes, this plastic is much lighter than brass and other metals that were previously used for casings and it is incredibly strong easily taking on high pressure loads

Heh, well not necessarily so. I'm doing this to flesh out my game concept visually and I thought ammo would be a great place to cut my teeth, the thing is the list is big and if I start on something else I probably won't ever finish up this stuff. Plus there aren't a lot of people doing ammo so someone has to pick up the slack right... I do have other stuff and ideas that I want to (try to) create, not all weapons related either but I still have to learn some more stuff first.
