I didn't notice their expressions being inconsistent... and I think the light, the angle, the inclusion of a good sky, etc are all great. The only thing I would like, and take it with a grain of salt, because I'm often too symmetrical, but I like the spacing between the three of them on the right, and wish that there was similar spacing between the three on the left. Their poses and relative positions seem otherwise mirror imaged, so the lack of space, particularly between the two on the left, really stands out.
Too late to fix that, of course. So slap me.

not at all, thanks for the input. i'm not a big fan on symmetry unless it is more or less absolute....especially in band photos, i think the pose in the really grey shot with the nice sky is too symmetrical. its hard to strike middle ground between cheesey pose and cheesey anti-pose.

I like the general ambiance of the shot, but try to get them to have a more cohesive theme in terms of expressions. The guy in the back has the "Hmmm" expression, the guy on the right looks like he's asleep on his feet, the guy sitting down looks a little troubled, the front-left guy looks like he's wants to fight, and the guy with no sleeves looks bored. not to mention they're not looking in the same direction, though that's not what got me. It's still the guy in the back... I think if his expression was different, the shot would be a lot better... but then again, can you control their poses and expressions?

considering they were all in various states of inebreation and narcosis, and they are a pretty chaotic lot, i think to have them all lookin right at the camera, i might as well have them stood on a beach in their hawaiians cheesey smiling and posing. i can no more control their expressions than yours, short of waving a "cannibal corpse" limited edition vinyl behind the camera or playing them "barbie girl" during the photoshoot. and thats not going to happen.

I like the location and their positions. Maybe if you can get them all into the same state of inebreation... on second thought, since they are a chaotic bunch, maybe go even less structured? like I said, I think the one person who throws it off the most is the guy in the far back

thanks for your input....i have literally just finished editing/processing the god-knows how many (+/-250 if my maths is good) shots from that shoot...i'l be uploading more soon, but i have to be careful as i havent actually received any money for them as yet.....
