Hmm. That film created many very mixed feelings in me. I spent quite some time fruitlessly trying to explain the abyss between the my joy and my disappointment in the movie, so how about we put it this way:

I liked it enough to paint a giant mech inspired by it. It has cannons, because I like cannons and god knows they didn't see enough action in the movie.
And...and yet, I want to slap the genius that wrote the script and tell them to feel ashamed about themselves for thinking that "nuclear powered" is the same as "analog". So very, very ashamed.

Conclusion: Perhaps I'm thinking too hard about this, a movie that in the words of the director "is supposed to make the 13 year old in us exited".
But for crying out loud, Aussie, YOU SHOOT MISSILES FROM YOUR TEATS!
