I am a professional photographer that uses Kodak Easyshare z981 as my primary camera. I shoot in RAW and edit with potentially several programs to get the exact feel for what I feel each photograph represents.

I really like the simplicity in the composition, its minimalism, and how the diagonal, wavy lines of the field are balanced by the hard vertical line of the tree. I've always liked a lonely tree against the horizon, I think it's the contrast I enjoy between the dark, complex shape formed by the branches and the clarity and emptiness of the sky. The only thing that would've made it even more captivating is if there were other figures at the same distance as the tree, a person, an animal, something moving, like a shadow, to give it that powerful enigmatic storytelling quality. But it's fine as is, of course.

Thank you. I think the best way to put it is that your comment was more elaborate than the entire photo was at only a few sentences. I appreciate it. Unfortunately there was nothing present at the tree or I would have made sure to get it with them. It certainly would have added to this photo.

No problem. I'm glad that you considered it feature-worthy . It may seem elaborate but, you know, even if a visual composition is seemingly simple, the process it provokes in our brains can still be very complex, which then translates into aesthetic appreciation. One can go "ooh, that's pretty", and leave it at that, but sometimes it's important to ask "why".
