I kind of cheated a little because this is really just a coloured sketch but I thought the sketchy lines would suit more than my normal lineart?? idk
Done on my iPad mini in Procreate
Time taken: idk 2 and a half ish hours
btw the japanese says "mou ikkai" which translates as "one more time" I think?? :[ which were lyrics from the song... ugH WHY EMOTIONS

I actually like rougher lines better than clean thin lines! It matched nicely with the song theme and all. :3 Yep, "mou ikkai" means "one more time" while "mou ii kai?" means "is it good now?" and it's one of my favorite parts of the lyrics. In the japanese hide and seek game, the person who's searching will say aloud "mou ii kai?" and the person hiding will respond "mada dayo" (not yet) if they're not ready yet, and "mou ii yo" (it's good) when they're ready to be searched. It speaks a lot to the feeling of struggling to open yourself and accept support. It's a nice song. :3

And when Miku says "mada dayo", it's kinda like she doesn't want help... ish... but then when she says mou ii yo, she finally opens up and lets herself be found...? it makes more sense in my head lel

Yep, something along these lines! She sings about struggling on the inside with her anguishes but pretending to be okay on the outside. When the lyrics ask "mou ii kai/are you good?" and she replies "mada dayo/not yet" it's like she can't let go of her anxiety yet and dives deeper into it, refusing to let out how she really feels and accept help, believing she must go through this by herself. Then at the end when she says "mou ii yo/I'm good", she's finally tired of suffering alone. It's not clear in the lyrics if she really lets go, but in the PV seems like she finally accepts being held and cared for ;w;
