Impossible Standards — Description
This is my first actual painting from Painting class this semester. For this we have to integrate collage with paint to create a piece that was based around the form.

Mine was a commentary on the impossible standards that comic books and other pop culture media place upon the female body. I took images of Emma Frost, Mystique, and Jean Grey, pasted them down, and then painting a mirror image of them on the opposite side, but in basic geometric shapes as a way to display the standard shape of women.

The photo quality is sorta crappy, but I'll upload a better picture of it as soon as I get it back.
