Description
This is my first actual painting from Painting class this semester. For this we have to integrate collage with paint to create a piece that was based around the form.Mine was a commentary on the impossible standards that comic books and other pop culture media place upon the female body. I took images of Emma Frost, Mystique, and Jean Grey, pasted them down, and then painting a mirror image of them on the opposite side, but in basic geometric shapes as a way to display the standard shape of women.
The photo quality is sorta crappy, but I'll upload a better picture of it as soon as I get it back.

I love it... but I don't think you should be commenting on the female body You love those comic book women with their giant breasts and tiny frames. But ya, I'm proud of you!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to do. And I'm really happy how it came out. One of the first things I've done that I actually felt done with.
