Description
This is my original design scratchbuilt/kitbashed 24 inch dropship model I created from sheet plastic, ping-pong balls, scrap parts for detail, a clock cover, etc.The model is 24 inches long by about 20 inches wide.
This model is built in 2 pieces that can separate. This first shot is the model with both pieces connected.
Note that this isn't a kit I bought in the store and put together-I made this. If you'd like to read about the technique on how to scratchbuild/kitbash, I wrote a tutorial (part 1) that can be found here:

fantastic piece of work. this must have taken a while. but it is so worth it. this is something to be proud of, and the colour scheme and details really finish it all off. first class tinkering !

I actualy started working on some sort of a planetary cannon with diffrent household items from bottles and bottle capts, diffrent computer-related stuff (like an old, unfunctional headset etc), and i will detail them.
I inspired from your that website ( i think Lizard Stomp)
Maybe you could take a look at it when its finished and tell me your opinion.

I've never played warhammer 40k, but I LOVE the miniatures, vehicles and dioramas. I buy White Dwarf every time it's out, and get some of the Warhammer "How-To" books on painting and diorama building.

Yes, I'm an old hand at airbrush. Used to do cars and vans when it was in vogue a million years ago, then when I was in college, I used it for illustration. Now I only use it for model work.
I used standard ol' Testors enamel for the color and for dirtying it up a bit. I used the drybrush technique on the guns (painted them black, then drybrushed them with bronze or copper).
