Not too much to say here other than this is radically different than what I originally started drawing (something that looked like Undyne "flying"??).  Pretty pleased with how it turned out, considering it decided to change quite often.

But really, I love mermaids.  I love Undyne.  I love seeing Undyne drawn as a mermaid.  It was time to do my own drawing of her like that :3

Also, I'm chalking this one up as a bit of practice with perspective.  I'm hoping it turned out at least decent ._. Figuring out the light rays from a higher angle was really difficult! O_o

Oh, she totally would X3 While my picture has nothing to do with what I'm about to mention (because a lot of people draw her as a mermaid ), I was reading this one really big fanfic where she was a mermaid and Alphys was a human marine biologist. I may not be an Alphyne shipper, but there were parts of the story I loved, like just all the details that were included about Undyne as a mermaid, like how incredibly strong she was.  It was a really nice depiction of her as a fierce mermaid X3

Oooh, neat I really like what you've done with the background; it looks fantastic with the water effects and distance.  As for advice, with the angle you've chosen in the water, her tail looks really long; I'd say it's a combination of the size and placement of her tailfin, as well as the shadow so close to it on the floor (the shadow right beneath her fin also makes the water look more shallow; not sure if you were going for that or not).  If you want the water to look deeper and her tail to not look as long, I'd recommend making the fin larger, but either moving it up behind her or removing the shadow on the ground.

You mean like the insane Megalovania level?  Cool to watch, but waaaay beyond my skill level (kudos to those who can do it!).  Wouldn't really call myself a "fan" either... but it's neat (and honestly the only one I've seen, now that I think about it).
