In order to have Grass, Fire and Water replaced with being Starter Types, theyβd need to be ones with a reasonable advantage against each other, as in not being immune that is.

okay I was thinking of a trio for if I had my own rom hack I chose Sneasel, and Vulpix both being stone evolutions with one evolved form but I can't think of ground type that uses a stone or item to evolve.Β

Dark/Fighting/Psychic isn't a triangle, because Dark is immune to Psychic.

I don't think you get it. Dark beats Psychic, Psychic beats Fighting, Fighting beats Dark.

Not really, they don't always have to touch the other type, that's why normal types exist or dual typed starters

i think only four of these type triangles actually work in both the "weak to and resisted by" schema.Β
But schema aside there is still the "Electric ground flying" triangle you forgot.Β
electric is trumped by ground
ground is trumped by flying
flying is trumped by electric
still a super useful resource though for my fangame. so thanks.

I never understood why they didn't make Regirock a Ground-type (with a different name, obviously).
It would've been a perfect triangle (bottom left).

It is really messed up, since, like most have said, some of these are incorrect. Some others aren't really triangles (Dragon and ghost are just plain dumb jokes) and some aren't perfect triangles, since for example, you can attack an electric pokemon with a water type attack and do normal damage, instead of 1/2.

A lot of these are wrong ... Rock --->Psychic, Rock ---> Ice, Poison ---> Bug?

Rock>ice and poison>bug are correct, rock psychic isn't though.

Sorry, but as of generation 2, bug takes neutral damage to poison. In the first generation, bug and poison were weak to each other, so Venusaur would be 4x weak to bug. Other than that, this should be a good reference!
