A tribute to Tamara Chipman, one of the victims of our Highway of Tears up here in North BC. It's been two years now but it's still hard to believe she's gone.

I didn't really know her too well, she lived with my family for a while when I was a kid, and a few years ago stayed with us when both she and my older sister were pregnant.

I used to babysit for her baby, and whenever I think of her it's usually in a state of undress, getting ready for the big party. I figured Burlesque was a fitting style to portray her in.

Not much else to say.. it makes me sad thinking about what may have happened to her, knowing that we may never know, and worrying that we will and it will be worse than anyone could imagine...
