It looks like a necklace! I love it! If I made jewelry I would use this photo as my inspiration for a pearl necklace! or even with glass so it looked like the water...

How you get so narrow DOF? I guess my lens can't do it, are there special lenses that have narrow DOF built in somehow?

Depends on the f-stop. This lens that I use is and old Nikor manual focus. It opens up to 3.5
The wider your lens opens the better.

Well my lens allows f/3.5 but i still can't get that narrow DOF ; /

Hmmm I think it might also depend on the camera also. Although we have lens that go to 2.8 and they do not give as shallow a depth of field either. The combination of this lens and my Fuji S5 just gives me really sharp short DOF. This is the mens [link] Although mine is in much better shape than this one
