Hello! I have a few questions... Wen using multiply and overlay to add contrast how would you do that? On a new layer to you airbrush to blend then set this airbrush layer to multiply? How would you use both? For adding a new layer that you set to the mode color or soft light do you just fill each piece with a base color? For example if I wanted the hair red I could just add red on a new layer set to soft light?

Sorry to bother you with this,

S.Aliu

Hi! You can color each piece on the same soft light layer, then you can edit each color individually depending on what program you are using (selective color on PS).

Hi! I'm here for ProjectComment 's Tag Game with 'Portrait' as the tag word.

There were multiple possible pieces for me to leave this comment on, but I chose this one because it stood out to me, and since this was the first time you made a tutorial I thought you might appreciate someone else's view on this! As someone who regularly struggles with making decent, realistic portraits or close-ups of a character's face, I think this is a very helpful step-by-step tutorial. The final result looks very nice, but not un-achievable for people who aren't good at drawing things like these!

The steps aren't too big so they're easy to follow, only the biggest step (from the rough sketch to detailed lineart) may be a tiny bit too big for people who struggle with anatomy, but since this tutorial isn't centered about how to draw correct facial features there's not really a problem with that ^^ The focus lies on the colouring, which I think is done very well! The hint to flip the drawing horizontally is a really helpful one as well, just like the tip to use saturated colours. I think this could be a great help for whoever is having difficulties with colouring their work

I hope this was (at least somewhat) helpful, but I feel like this tutorial will help me more than I helped you with this comment! XD
It's your turn now to leave a comment on one of TheCluelessEinstein 's works, with the tag word 'Bright'

Have a great day/night, and keep up the good work!
