I not sure if I'm imagining things (resolution!) but is there a small figure with a big sword? As title suggests: it's a sentinel, right? So, this big, red wave-like thing could be his hair climbing up a stone! Or maybe this sentinel is born of stone? And this red thingy is magical umbilical cord or part of remote control device? Could be both.

You can just look at the image and some kind of fantastic story writes itself immediately. I like it.
