For annual sleepovers
Pizza on the floor
Gilmore Girls on TV
Just the way our friendship should be
Until the day you broke away
There wasn’t much more I could say
Our daily talks vanished
You never bothered to call
I never could because I knew it to be untrue
Until you found someone new
Hurt has only filled the place you carry in my heart
I wonder sometimes if you ever wish things were
Like in 5th grade
