I at all do not know, why I was afflicted with this work. I have no claims to quality of these icons. But, boys, I live in Russia, in the childhood I have had time to see and " a totalitarian mode ". Was not at us in such quantity of a barbed wire and the reservation. And we went on city or in a wood to have a rest not on tanks, and by normal buses and cars.
Both people were affable and good. Really this idiocy about " the Soviet bear with Kalashnikov and a Balalaika about a nuclear rocket " so strongly sits in your brains, what even young guys think about Russian the same as also their parents in 50th years? And it very much also is very a pity.
P.S. Yes, by the way, on Mackintoshes I have started to work in 1986 during the Soviet union. I think at all later than you, there, in the West. Yes, and to a word - we look cinema on plasma screens on the DVD-player, we read many modern western writers, and we work on normal computers, instead of on diesel tractors. Have in view of!

This is a very sweet icon set here...thank you for creating such an awesome set. My favourite icon sets are ones that follow a very unique theme, this one is a perfect example of this. All these icons are beautiful. Only thing I would recommend, is for the Full Recycle Bin icon to have red instead of green. It may look like blood (which might be why you avoided this), but I think it would look alot smoother.

Whether or not Communism was a good idea or not, this is a very sweet icon set. I doubt the creator is a huge Nazi anyway. So bugger off, unless you have some real constructive criticism.

Well you people seem to have a sad yet comon misunderstanding of wut the soviet unnion was and wu it stands for. history lesson The Soviets are the ones who one the war in europe and invaded germany in ww2. I am a communist my self and i must say there is NO simularity between us and nazis. In fact we HATE nazis!!! We beleave in totole equality and shared welth among the people and if the rich elite must loose somthing so be it. In other words we beleave in working for the betterment of man kind as a whole not just as a indavidule.

yes they did learn youre history the are the ones who took Berlin and i must say i am NOT a nazi and english is not my native lang. the usa won the war in the pacific and the soviets won the war in europe. i am NOT discrediting the american as the fought long and hard and graetly assisted the soviets and it was nessisary. the soviets would have still beat the nazis but at a much greater los of life. the usa technacly shouldnt have bin in europe in the first place. Germany did not declar war on the us and didnt know anything about the attack at pearl harbor. I do agrea that germany needed to be stoped the premisis that we used to get in the war was false.

guys, if you don't study history or something like that, please stay quiet, because all of you are talking wrong, and it is sad that so many lifes gone, and they didn't deserve your attention. Unbeliveable!!!
If you want to know, what and how it really happend, go study history as I do... Only Gerhardt is right, and wrote that nicely...
But this section is about icons and not about history so stay focused on that think...

Granted, this has probably gone on for much to long regardless .. but I do believe you misunderstand the Soviet contribution to WW2.
The USSR lost more soldiers in "The Great Patriotic War" than France, Britain, and the USA combined. The allies after D-Day marched from France to Germany. The Soviet Union marched across half of an entire continent to get to Berlin (And started 2 years prior).
Saying the USSR didn't do anything in WW2 is a good way to look like an imbicile. It was a combined effort that lead to victory, not a stupid Pissing contest on who's army was better. If the Western allies had not landed in Normandy, the USSR would have been defeated. If the USSR had not been pushing from the East, the Western Allies would have been pushed back into the sea.
Even during the cold war, both parites would get together and celebrate the first time they encountered each other, and today the US Army and the Russian Army have a joint exercise named after the location they met in WW2: "Torgau"
