Pantalan sona ref — Description
Name: Sphynx
Age: 6 (literally just finished metamorphosis)
Sex/gender: F for both
sexuality: Demi (only relationships with people she’s close to) and Bi. (Prefers girls)
Personality: Super sweet and introverted. Prefers to be alone and just draw. She also knows how to weave her own silk pretty well, so she will make things for people with it. She makes hammocks for herself with her silk and will curl up and just chill in them. She has no idea what she’s doing tbh. XD
abilities: Simple silkwing abilities. Her silk is normal. Her antennae are very long and sensitive, so she can sense almost everything going on at once, which if too much is happening, it can be very overwhelming for her.
backstory: when she was hatched, her mother was the only one who stayed with her. The rest of her family went to other hives. But her mother had to move to a different hive, and she was left with a bunch of HiveWings to take care of her in Yellowjacket hive. They didn’t do a very good job, though, and she eventually planned to run away, after her metamorphosis. So she did. HiveWings looked for her, but she flew off to the poison jungle, where she met a rogue leafwing. They both just stay there, and have their own small part of the jungle to themselves. They’re both really close friends, but she gets separated from her friend and is now on her own, not really knowing what to do.

So y’all know I have Icey and Esper, right?

Well, I was thinking the other day: “What if I was a pantalan dragon? What would I look like?” (And tbh, she still just looks like a mix between Esper and a silkwing. I tried to make different details and make her colors more gray/silver, but I don’t think it worked. Oh well, she still looks cute. XD)

Originally I would’ve said I was a HiveWings, because I really like bees and I think wasps are interesting, but after reading the books more, I realize I’m more like a silkwing in every way. I even have sensory issues, which makes me sensitive to vibrations from sounds and actions, which is like the antennas that the silkwings have. I’m a much more emotional and kinda cuddly person as well, so after thinking about it more, I was just like: “holy crap, I’m actually just like a silkwing”

so that’s neat lol.

You can probably smell the wobbly-ness of the lines I used on this reference. I’ve been doing so much with my hands (writing multiple letters in LA, typing stories, and drawing a LOT) that my hand is just dead. XD
