Description This script adds a random value to a random variation of a random triangle. How useful this script is depends on the way you make fractals. I wrote this script for myself but thought I'd share it.

There are InputQuerys asking if you want it applied to any specific variation or triangle. If you want it to be random, or if you want to target a specific triangle/variation (over many tries, for instance), you can change the script to skip the InputQuerys and input the values you want manually. I added a lot of comments in the script, hoping you can understand and change the script to your liking

Pressing UNDO twice will undo any change the script made.

For a random variation, the script will choose a variation between Linear and Cylinder for both Apo 2.08 beta 2 (non-3D) and Apo 2.08 "3D Hacked". The script doesn't have auto-detect function (lol) so there are 2 versions in the Zip. Use the correct ones or there may be quirks, eg when you use the non-3D script on 3D Apo the script will pick a random variation from Linear to ZTranslate. Not a problem, but it's not helpful for fractal-finding.

Add or replace values - what the final Message box is asking you:-
Let's say, before running the script, you have 0.5 in Linear. The script randomizes 0.25 to add to Linear.
Add: 0.5 + 0.25. You'll end up with 0.75.
Replace: Replaces 0.5 with 0.25. You'll end up with 0.25.

I'm more familiar with non zero-indexed triangle and variation numbers, but I made everything zero-indexed to follow the standard and avoid confusion. I'm not sure about how Apophysis starters would think about the whole zero-index thing though.

Note that sometimes you see nothing in your screen, this is probably because the fractal is zoomed in or out too far after the fractal is changed by the script. Press the "Reset Location" button from the toolbar or menu or press F12. If still nothing shows up, Undo twice and try running the script again.

Comments & suggestions welcome. I don't mind if you fav & run.

this looks a beauty for people like me who still can't quite do much with all the possibilities in this fabulous Apo programs I downloaded it and d and will send you a link if I get to do something reasonably showable

Umm... This script only adds random to a triangle's variation, so what you should know is: if you saw something potentially nice and want to refine or edit it, you have to move the graphic colored triangles (and their points) around in the Editor Window. To refine it more, you can adjust the Weights, located also in the Editor Window, under the "Transform" tab.

Thank you... Remember, this is a random script, it may take many tries to get something nice. Press Undo (CTRL + Z) twice if you don't like anything, it'll revert the changes.

Yes I understand and I thank you for the advise, I am starting to do some small steps (baby steps really) tweaking some triangles, so maybe I can do something with your script too.
Thanks so much for sharing
