The Amplifier Drone possesses the strongest armor of all drones; but can't spit goo. Only explosives can sufficiently dislodge it. While latched and transmitting; the Amplifier can't take any other actions; as it is expending all its mental capacity. However, its connection to the hive mind can alert other drones if it is under siege.

When not needed; Repletes mostly just sit still in the nest to avoid wasting their energy and using up their stores. The psychic amplifier on their abdomen serves as a receptor to pick up signals from other drones that require feeding.

Workers are heavy-built and very sluggish and inefficient in combat; which is why you won't see them outside the nest. In a pinch, their thick chitin, shovel-like arms and heavy tails provide protection. Unlike Soldiers; they aren't built to charge and can't turn around in tight spaces with ease.
