Any tips on drawing grass and trees specifically, i always seem to draw terrible roots for trees.

Oh! Like I said there, I try to look up references for trees and go from there. ^^
I've noticed that tree roots are all knobby and taper to a point. Some tree roots even just go straight underground. I'm not sure if I could ever do a real tutorial for it since I just sort of wing it with the roots while looking at references. Sorry!

don't be like that, I still got troubles with drawing backgrounds.~
the backgrounds can end up taking as long as drawing the characters at times, so good method and approach would be nicer. .w.;
