One Year On... — Description
It's a year to this day that Edd Gould passed away.

I don’t really know what to say really.

I didn’t know Edd personally. I’ve never met him. I’ve never even had any form of communication with him. Yet when I found out Edd had passed away I felt a huge loss.

I’ve been a fan of Eddsworld for around 2 1/2 years now. I think I found it by chance in the YouTube suggestions whilst watching some random videos. The first episode I ever watched was Zanta Claws. After that episode, I began to watch more and more, and instantly fell in love with Eddsworld. But then I also found out about Edd’s cancer.

I found it incredible how even in hospital whilst going through cancer treatment, Edd was still so dedicated to his show and his fans that he carried on working on Eddisodes just so he could keep them happy. He just considered it as a bit of an inconvenience and persevered to make his next Eddisode.

I found him to be so inspiring, and kinda looked up to him as an idol. Over the next year I watched more and more of his videos, and planned to meet him at London MCM Expo in May 2012.

Unfortunately that never happened.

So here’s a drawing to mark Edd’s Day. I believe Edd’s watching down on us whilst drinking a can of coke and smiling.

And as a message to Tom, Matt, Paul Ter Voorde and the rest of the Eddsworld Crew, I’d like to say thank you for everything you’ve done up to this point in continuing Edd’s dream of keeping the show going and keeping his world spinning. He would be very proud of all of you for the hard work and effort and the time you’ve put in to ensuring that his millions of fans stay inspired and entertained. Thank you.

And thank you Edd, for inspiring a generation of young animators across the world. You will forever live on in the hearts of millions of people across the world, whom you have shared your videos with…
