| HISTORY |

Raised in Castelia City, Val had a more than average life, raised by two perfectly normal parents, with 2 very bland and boring older brothers and fated to just work in the family business of office work, adventure was never in the cards for them despite Val's own wants and dreams. As a child they embraced that was what their life would be.

As a teenager, Val became stubborn and wreckless, never staying at their home, always running away and coming back with strange new Pokémon, each and every time their family forced their hand in releasing them and that’s how it went, there was only resentment building between themselves and their parents. Their siblings were given Pokémon and yet, Koi was never good enough for it, never well behaved enough to deserve such treatment.

On their 18th birthday, they left, packed only their most important belongings, sold their less important items to pawnshops and left. They became a wanderer, never finding their place in the world, always walking, always travelling hoping they would find their new home and one day, they did.
