I don't know the legend of the skeleton tree and I don't want to either. If I came across a tree like this I would run in the opposite direction and hide out in the nearest church for a night and a day before leaving for home, and even then I would look over my shoulder from time to time to make sure no one and no thing was following me.This watercolor, as amateurish as it is, is dedicated to artist/illustrator Brian Coldrick for his astounding work and inspiration for this painting and to Karswell/Steve Banes, the keeper of fifties horror on THOIA.
Boring technical details- the medium was watercolor, I painted the background with black watercolor paint then used a tan brown for the trees and white for the skeleton tree.

Amateurish or not, I offer my art for all to enjoy, and maybe inspire other artists to try their hand at crating this or other art.

While my art isn't as elegant or as lifelike as other artists, I am glad to offer my art for others to see and enjoy, and if they are so inclined, they can make their own version of my art.
I'm not the kind to get mad of someone copies my art or makes a better version, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
