Description
Kagome sat on the bone eaters well. The autumn air blew through her hair tossing it like the colored leaves around her.

Autumn had come quick this year on any other day Kagome would have loved to sit and watch the colored leaves.

Not today, Inuyasha and her had gotten into another one of there arguments before Kagome shouted she was going home.

She left the village but when she made it to the well she did not go. So she decided to sit and think over today.

Sango had trailed after her in an effort to console her.

Sango made her way over to the still agitated Kagome.

Kagome snapped out of thoughts at the sound of leaves crunching beneath Sango's sandal.

Kagome looked up "Sango What are you doing here?"

Sango took a seat beside her on the rim of the well. "To talk to you about your fight with Inuyasha, maybe you should talk to him it was a silly argument."

Kagome remained silent.

"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" Sango asked

Kagome laughed at the question, Sango watched in curiosity.

Kagome explained "My grandpa use to say the same thing, When I was a little girl when ever I was upset he would take me to the sacred tree and hold my hand. I always felt so much better after that. He even carved a little heart on the trunk that said my name"

Sango placed a friendly hand over her shoulder "That's sweet"

Kagome smiled

They did not notice the pair of amber eyes watching them. After the argument Sango was not the only one who followed Kagome to the well.

Inuyasha watched as Sango and Kagome exchanged more words before Sango got to her feet heading back to the village.

Kagome sat there a little longer before deciding it was time to go back to the village.

As soon as Inuyasha saw Kagome getting up heading towards the woods he vanished amongst the trees.

Kagome walked down the path back to the village hearing the leaves crumble under her.

Kagome peered over the bushes to spot the scared tree in the distance she didn't know why but something was telling her to stop by.

In the direction of the great oak Kagome stepped through the bushes soon she emerged.

She went wide eyed at the beauty the colored leaves tossing in the wind the mighty branches of the tree swaying.

Kagome took a step closer to take a better look then something came into view Kagome gasped. There at the bottom of the trunk was a small heart carved with the name 'Kagome' in the middle.

The crunching of leaves snapped her back into reality Kagome sprung up as she watched Inuyasha emerge from behind the tree.

"I-Inuyasha!" Kagome squeaked.

Inuyasha stared at the ground a blush over his cheeks. Kagome looked at him then back at the small heart on the tree.

"D-Did you do this? But how...?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha took a step forward the blush on his cheeks growing.

Kagome could not move.

Then Inuyasha was standing right in front of her suddenly she felt something strong cup her hand.

Inuyasha held her hand gently his eyes still to the ground.

His cheeks on fire "I followed you to the well and I heard you and Sango..."

Kagome could not speak.

Inuyasha grew aggravated finally looking at her "Look Im not your grandpa or nothing but you could say something!"

Kagome smiled she leaned into him her head against his chest holding his hand tighter.

"Inuyasha shut up" Kagome whispered she wrapped around him hugging him gently.

Inuyasha went wide eyed before bringing himself to embrace her back.

"Your such a baby" Inuyasha smirked holding her a little tighter "Kagome"
