Description We're in snow, our eternal
Summer town is frosted with nose-biting
Dust, turning the evergreens into
Ballroom dancers

Was writing your name on windshields, in
Ice and something a little deeper, and
Much, much warmer
We're beach folk, we don't wear
Gloves in the snow, our fingers are
Stinging from hearts and peace signs and
Names we etch into encrusted car windows
Like lyrics, like
Novellas, like...

...ice queen, I gathered myself at your shoulder to watch
Georgia winters melt into
California laughter, you'd scream on the playgrounds and I'd
Beg to be as bold, watch me
Fumble, like Tinkerbell in black, here's one
Neverneverland in a town named Holy Cross
That harbors sinners like
Us

This is my first and only winter,
Santa Cruz in white, and
All I can wish for is your
Whimsical words to catch me up like a
Snowball fight on the nine

Darling, your aim is
Better than mine

wow! i love it. i love it all.
it flows so well, and considering the fact that i'm probably reciting it in my head all wrong... ha!

this bit grabs me by the goolies and drags me around the room:
"We're beach folk, we don't wear
Gloves in the snow, our fingers are
Stinging from hearts and peace signs and
Names we etch into encrusted car windows
Like lyrics, like
Novellas, like..."

i don't know why, it just does.
anyhoo, excuse me while i grace my page with your words.

"like Tinkerbell in black" that;s the perfect image for what you're describing, it would also make a cool name for a goth band

i didn't know you didn't know how to spell third.

you probably got the hail, actually, though it fell really thick and stuck around as long as snow. but we drove up on highway nine - PURE FREAKING POWDER, DUDE! this stuff was immaculate and pillow soft. we made a snowman too. i named him pipkin.

i have been busy. but i'll try to get ahold of you as soon as i can. sorry i haven't been around.

you make me blush in places i didn't know i could.
that whole idea seems so foreign to me here on the beach myself. florida is a dead rat that needs to detatch and go somewhere else.
the atlantic. its just a big lake. no action. just jelly fish. little waves slurp up on the shore in a very lazy manner. there is no passion to the atlantic. because after all, its still just the south. with a beach.
so, just lots of rednecks and even fewer places to run.
this makes it better though. makes it tolerable.
well, this and kyle. cause he rocks my everloving face off.
i love you.

you just inspired another poem.

oh, the great pacific!

but i'm lazy about writing poems for ideas that crop up.

these are cat stevens day, i wish i could share them with you. so i do in writing, when it so strikes me.

i'm sorry the antlantic don't bring the same sounds of waves, sea lions...but you're right, kyle is wonderful enough to make up for the lack of west coast beaches. tell him to do a good job for me, because i'm not there to do it myself.

i love you too.
