Description
Thought I would post the warrior, since I posted the queen. They wanted a type of monster insect that was semi-aquatic and had mantis claws, so this is what I came up with. I based them off of mantis shrimp, which you should google if you don't know what those are cuz they are pretty cool.Related content

The bane of my freaking Champ's life for awhile. Hey, let's explore Moria! Nice gates, oh, a few goblins to pick off (ehhh...not so tough till the first camp near Doors at-level then they gang up and cause mayhem)...hmmm...gredbygs...HEY! lights! what's down this hallway? and what is that sound? hmmm...HOLY WARG CRAP! (screech, chirrip snap) BUGS! BIG BUGS! RUUUN! Ya got me with those. I didn't consider myself creeped out ever by bugs till I ran into those the first time. I had to level a bit more till I could run into the nest area . Great job! Finally seeing these by a designer all I can bemoan is that they don't look this impressive in-game! One day, perhaps, when technology catches up.

Very near from the one in the video game. Extremly great concept I like the colours.

Actually, they didn't end up anywhere near the water in Moria... but still they fit!

Ya, when I saw their swim animations in progress, they didn't seem like they were very water friendly.

I've been watching your work for a while now. I just took my Hobbit Burglar into Moria and encountered one of these things, and it was creepy as hell! Anyway, good job on the design!

The design just looked very beautiful and exotic, quite different from the rest of the LoTR bestiary.

Man, this is so incredibly AWESOME. I mean, I think I know which creatures inspired you for this one, but this is very innovative

That is hands down awesome. The coolest creature I've seen in weeks! Everything from the design to the color and texture is handled with such detail and care. Wonderful work!

Thanks!
They are in "Mines of Moria." Kind of like water-dwelling crustaceans that live in Moria's underground lakes.
