My tip is, use Photoshop! Har har. It's pretty easy:
1) draw half of the monster
2) dupilcate the layer and flip it horizontally
3) align!
No genius here, just a trickster.

Fantastic. I love how large the nostrils are in comparison to the eyes (I'm hoping those are eyes, I could be wrong) and ears.

It looks really cool, especially the big claw. It kind of reminds me of a raptor!
Does it have eyes somewhere, or is it supposed to be blind (kind of like a cave bat, I guess?)
