Tragic intimacy in your drawing looks so beautiful and sad, I love it so much! I also really love how you depicted the blood

thank you ! i wanted to go for an intimate betrayal feeling.
i intended akechis tears to be genuine, because he honestly wishes that akira and him could have met and known each other before both their lives were twisted into a terrible fate like they were. akechi truly wished that he could have a normal life with genuine relationships and love, and feeling forced to kill akira just reminds him of how that was never possible. think of star crossed lovers.
but i like leaving stuff up to interpretation. thank you for commenting on the piece !Β

i wanted the sword to pierce him more through the chest/upper abdomen but this pose kept morphing as i kept drawing and this was the best i could manage. i struggled with this pose a lot while drawing tbh
