This actually harkens back to a manga called Demon Diary. I thought it was cute (though the main character looked waaaaaaay too much like a girl in my opinion), but then that was before I knew what the crap "yaoi" was. Still, it was humourous enough to keep me reading. Of course, I only have one volume...There is a scene where Raenef, the pansy demon-lord-to-be, is sleeping after a (possibly female) knight leaves his castle. Eclipse, Raenef's teacher, deals with the knight and checks on his hapless student. Raenef grabs onto Eclipse's hair and, rather than wake the poor sap up, Eclipse opts to sleep with him instead. And I STILL don't know the gender of that knight--s/he's got boobs, but his/her gender is never specified in the manga...I think.
ANYHOO...Another sketch comic. Though my dream did involve my mom and Dr. Cossack(?!) going to Russia to help fight a war or some such rubbish, I did briefly see X. And I think I slept through my alarm clock because I heard a weird, irritating noise. Could be X's nerves audibly snapping. What happened there is irrelevant (though I did see Bass...wha?). THIS COMIC is relevant. Make of it as you will.

This sounds a little like my X and Zero, at least in terms of how they have been through so much traumatic stuff over the years that has piled up and piled up as the wars drug on and got worse, to the extent that if they hadn't had each other as a form of an anchor, they probably would have long since gone nuts. Β I think with my two, if Zero died, all the sorrow and grief X holds a bay from the years of war and loss would overwhelm him, and he'd just give up, lose his will to fight, maybe even to function. Β Zero'd very likely go mad and become a Maverick, having lost his real last reason after Iris's death to hold back the legacy Wily left in him. Losing the closest friend he has in world too would undo him.
Both of them have other friends, but these two have been through the thick and thin of it together from the start, and they both tend to have their own reasons for only ever letting others get so close to them.
And yet, neither of them can stop fighting either, despite knowing either they could die, or the other could.

Looks pretty nice. One small nitpicky thing is the bottom X looks kinda awkward, how his eyes are placed and his little round ear dealy looks flat on the far side. I guess it stands out more because the upper pic of him is close to the same pose. The angle at least is nearly identical. You pulled off the first one much better, so it just stands out to me. :/
But overall, great work. Some awesome Zero art and the sleep chamber background stuff is done well.
