My little collection of DS res models.I am thinking on doing many more,especially main characters from next gen games.Here are the specs for each character:
Nero: 500 tris character and 147 weapons, 128x128 diff and alpha + 64x64 weapon.
Altair: 667 tris, 256x256 diff and alpha.
Ryu Hayabusa: 498 tris character and 109 weapons, 128x128 diff and alpha + 64x64 weapon.

and how did you scale down the textures without losing details?

will stacking uv's like you've done here, make seams more visible at higher resolutions? I want to approach my textures this way, but I'm a little hesitant.

they were done in lightwave and rigged in max. Textures done with photoshop
