Description
Recently, TV Personality Stephen Colbert encouraged "artists" to submit new designs for the portrait that hangs over his fireplace. This was my attempt, parodying a classic video game with Stephen rescuing liberty from our biggest threat - bears.No parts of the original flyer were used, this was entirely recreated by me in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Needless to say, that as of yet, this portrait has not been chosen.

It would, wouldn't it? Though I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be making money off of someone else's work - especially since it's so close to the original in appearance.

My guess is that either it was not "artistic" enough or that the bear upstaged Stephen. Oh well.

It's both artistic and funny, but you're correct, the bear upstaged Stephen. His character demands he take up three quarters of the portrait. Still an excellent job.
