Description
It was two years since I developed my first syndrome-surviving experiment, and I, Raymond Gondalatsi, was able to unlock, once again, the portal to where demons dwell, and fuse it with my creation. He is of lessened strength, my new creation. He still hangs, suspended in yellowish fluid, wires that lead to food and water sacks to keep him nourished. The oxygen mask is still wrapped over his nose and mouth, his eyes closed in his Sleep of Syndrome Development.
His name is Isaac, I decided. While I was watching his development, I noticed he had faded slowly back and forth through consciousness, unlike my other experiment, William, who forced his way to escape immediately. Isaac was much more subtle in his confusion, his confusion draining all energy from him. That suited my purposes perfectly.
When Isaac did awaken, he did so slowly. He had the same problem William had; strange eyes. His were violet, with the same piercing quality, but they spoke more of intelligence than psychotic fury.
He had looked at me, face still with tire and growing confusion.
I had noticed he was shivering immensely in the Development Tank, and wondered if he was another failed experiment. I soon found out, when his skin paled and almost turned blue, that he was only cold.
I opened the hatch and drained the fluid from his tank, leaving him to the sublet heat of my laboratory. He looked at me, then slowly removed his oxygen mask. He also plucked the nutrition wires from his skin. He was naked, other than the pair of leather pants that donned him. He was rather blank, at first, than I saw the spark of intelligence light up in his eyes.
I was joyous. My second experiment to survive. Since he was so quiet and confused, I do advantage to study his demon beforehand. I put him through a few simulators, a number of scans, and fed his multiple potions. Soon I was able to create an accurate idea of his demon on my supercomputer.
He was a large dinosaur-like creature, I suppose, with a large metal mane from the back of his reptilian head to his shoulders, and his forearms had their talons in what looked like metal gloves, in the shape of his talons. He was large, about as large as Williamβs demon figure, but with more bulk. I was proud.
As soon as this was put into data, I had Isaac locked away in a Containment Chamber, to hide him from other experiments and other sources where he can develop a free will.
He is still there, bless him, my demonic minion, awaiting his mission to protect his master, me, Raymond Gondalatsi. But it is not enough. I need more. More. And more, is what I will get
