The brushed layers; which blending mode[s] are they on? Overlay or Soft Light might kick it up a notch, assuming it's not on those already.

i went in photoshop and sharpened this twice, and it looks really nice.

the render is too plain and you need a hyper-nurb there :S... the material of the render is plain too... try changing that things ad the brushing is cool but doesn't blend well with the whole piece...
anyway... you've got some big potential so i'll be watching you

i kinda see whats the problem with ur brushing, it looks as though there was this cool render a glass on top of the render (like looking it through a window) and on top of the glass the brushing
it doesnt blend properly with the render, they're like 2 totally diffenret things

I think it has a very nice effect. You may want to use more than one color to address the hue of the image, but their certainly isn't anything wrong with what you have here. It's very interesting.
